Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sirius Sorbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sirius Sorbit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Xander Ryan! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan closes the distance and pushes Sorbit back into the cage. Sorbit blocking some punches.
Ryan drags the fight down to the ground.
Ryan looking for a guillotine here but Sorbit defends easily.
Ryan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ryan has control of Sorbit's left arm, preventing Sorbit from doing any damage. Ryan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Ryan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Ryan keeping moving, preventing Sorbit from controlling successfully. Sorbit's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Sirius Sorbit just wasn't active enough. The fighters circling - Sorbit throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ryan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sorbit. That did some damage! Ryan leaves Sorbit with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sorbit looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ryan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sorbit wants to control from the top but Ryan keeps moving. Ryan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sorbit is desperately trying to improve his position but Ryan has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryan wants to control the pace but Sorbit is squirming around nicely. Ryan with a couple of short strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sorbit sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Sorbit lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage. Sorbit wants to improve his position but Ryan is controlling well.
Ryan in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sorbit tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Ryan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Xander Ryan!
