The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
diaz feints a jab promting Taylor to slip. diaz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Taylor slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
diaz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
diaz shoots in and gets a takedown into Taylor's guard.
diaz lands a couple of elbows.
diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Taylor thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
diaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
diaz passes easily into side control. Nice work.
