Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between SunOf Kirosawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and imants Legzda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirosawa comes to the cage accompanied by This is War - 30 Seconds to Mars. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, SunOf Kirosawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, imants Legzda! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirosawa slips a jab and a cross from Legzda.
Legzda is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Legzda gets a clinch. Kirosawa is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Legzda gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Kirosawa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Legzda misses with a punch on the inside.
Kirosawa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kirosawa tries to bum rush Legzda with a series of wild strikes but Legzda uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kirosawa scores with a takedown into Legzda's guard. Legzda keeping moving, preventing Kirosawa from controlling successfully. Kirosawa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Legzda is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kirosawa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Legzda swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Legzda keeping moving, preventing Kirosawa from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirosawa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kirosawa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kirosawa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Legzda is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Legzda is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Kirosawa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kirosawa slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Legzda wants to stand up but Kirosawa is controlling him. Kirosawa is stalling in the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kirosawa trying to control the position from guard on top but Legzda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Legzda wants to stand and escape but Kirosawa is having none of it. Kirosawa is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We're going to have a standup here because SunOf Kirosawa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Legzda tries to clinch but Kirosawa moves out of range. Legzda gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kirosawa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kirosawa stops Legzda from standing up. Kirosawa trying to control but Legzda is working from the bottom. Kirosawa stops Legzda from standing up. Legzda looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Legzda keeping moving, preventing Kirosawa from controlling successfully. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. SunOf Kirosawa wasn't doing enough on the ground. Legzda is looking to take this fight into the clinch. imants Legzda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kirosawa is defended easily by Legzda. Legzda keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for SunOf Kirosawa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Legzda takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kirosawa fails with a takedown attempt. Some wild striking there from Legzda.
Legzda tries to close the distance and clinch but Kirosawa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Donk. Legzda catches Kirosawa right on the button with a cross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Legzda clinches up with Kirosawa and pushes him back against the cage. Legzda scores with a shot to the side of Kirosawa's head. Legzda swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Kirosawa wants the takedown. Legzda is fighting it off but Kirosawa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Legzda's guard against the cage. and Kirosawa counters with a stiff right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Legzda tries to clinch up enabling Kirosawa to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kirosawa shoots in and bounces Legzda off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
SunOf Kirosawa dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Legzda throws a nice looking combination but Kirosawa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kirosawa shoots in but no luck this time. Kirosawa misses with a takedown attempt - Legzda sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kirosawa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Legzda is trying to stand up. Kirosawa working for a submission but Legzda is keeping him at bay. Kirosawa working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Legzda wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kirosawa wants to control the pace but Legzda is squirming around nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Legzda is trying to stand. Legzda is squirming around, avoiding Kirosawa's attempts to control the action. Kirosawa is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Legzda is surviving well by controlling Kirosawa's body position as best he can. Kirosawa looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Kirosawa pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Kirosawa is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Legzda to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Legzda shrugs it off. Kirosawa moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Legzda has worked his arm free - good work by Legzda!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Legzda is trying to buck Kirosawa off. Kirosawa wants to control but Legzda is keeping him busy. Legzda is pushing Kirosawa's head away, looking to escape. Kirosawa manages to hold on to the position though. Kirosawa has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Legzda is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kirosawa yanks on the arm and Legzda is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kirosawa.
