Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Kopkora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopkora has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Emelianenko finds it's way round the side to connect with Kopkora's head.


It looks like Miguel Kopkora has been cut.
Emelianenko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kopkora gets a clinch.
Emelianenko wants a takedown.
Emelianenko is looking to break free of the clinch but Kopkora has double underhooks.

Emelianenko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kopkora has him pressed against the cage.
Emelianenko jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kopkora walks away with a smile on his face. Emelianenko gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Emelianenko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kopkora's waist but Kopkora gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Emelianenko off to one side.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Emelianenko enables Kopkora to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Emelianenko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Emelianenko closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kopkora did well to prevent Emelianenko getting side control.

You can see the frustration on Kopkora's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kopkora has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Emelianenko clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Miguel Kopkora.
I think Emelianenko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
