Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Wintzloff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hasim Faeed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Wintzloff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hasim Faeed! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faeed connects with a body shot that sends Wintzloff's belly button to the back. Faeed connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Faeed will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Wintzloff fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Faeed, pushing him back against the cage. Wintzloff misses with a punch on the inside.
Wintzloff's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hasim Faeed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Wintzloff. A punch combination from Faeed misses. Wintzloff stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wintzloff wants it to stay on the feet. Faeed blocks a head kick by Wintzloff.
Faeed throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wintzloff. Wintzloff has Faeed up against the cage in a clinch.

Wintzloff keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Faeed's efforts to push away. Wintzloff breaks the clinch.

Faeed looks gassed! Wintzloff throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wintzloff closes the distance and pushes Faeed back into the cage. Wintzloff pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wintzloff shoots in and bounces Faeed off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wintzloff scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Wintzloff wants to control from the top but Faeed keeps moving. Wintzloff chips away with some ground and pound. Faeed keeping moving, preventing Wintzloff from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Faeed can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wintzloff's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Wintzloff stands up from Faeed's guard - Wintzloff perhaps looking for a knockout. Wintzloff shoots in looking for a takedown but Faeed manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wintzloff's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Some wild striking there from Faeed.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Faeed missing with a left hand there. Wintzloff was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Faeed misses with a few strikes there.

Faeed tries to sprawl but Wintzloff drives through with a takedown into half guard. Wintzloff thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Faeed tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Wintzloff manages to move to mount!
Wintzloff tries to control but Faeed wriggling away. Wintzloff lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wintzloff can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Faeed is looking to escape. Faeed is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Wintzloff dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wintzloff avoids the body shot from Faeed.
Faeed looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wintzloff is fending him off so far but Faeed persists. Nope, Wintzloff circles away and we're back to standing. Wintzloff shoots in and drives through. Faeed sprawls well. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wintzloff is defended easily by Faeed. Faeed gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wintzloff holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Wintzloff successfully pulls guard.
Wintzloff wriggles free and stands up. Wintzloff misses with a takedown attempt - Faeed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Wintzloff. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Faeed, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Faeed dodges the punch combination from Wintzloff.
Faeed throws a low kick, looking for Wintzloff's leg but Wintzloff calmly moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faeed takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Wintzloff throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Faeed's head. Faeed looks to score with a jab to the body but Wintzloff is just out of range. Wintzloff closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Faeed quickly recovers to half guard. Faeed is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wintzloff pulls his head out easily. Faeed wants to control but Wintzloff passes into side.
Wintzloff has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Faeed! Wintzloff is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Faeed to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Faeed shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wintzloff wants to control the pace but Faeed is squirming around nicely. Faeed is in all sorts of trouble here.
Faeed doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Wintzloff prevents Faeed from getting the reversal. Faeed in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Wintzloff trying to control but Faeed is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Faeed is desperately trying to improve his position but Wintzloff has a good base and remains in mount. Wintzloff landing strikes from the mount and Faeed is in trouble!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Faeed tries to buck Wintzloff off but he can't manage it. Wintzloff lands with some strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Faeed taking shots to the head. Wintzloff breaks from Faeed's wrist control and lands an elbow. A nice elbow there by Wintzloff. Faeed is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jack Wintzloff overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Faeed tries to lock up and control but Wintzloff gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Wintzloff dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Faeed falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wintzloff counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wintzloff takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Wintzloff decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Wintzloff keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wintzloff takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Faeed loads up on a big right hand but Wintzloff slips the punch. Wintzloff stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wintzloff wants it to stay on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wintzloff misses with a double jab.
Wintzloff shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Faeed sprawls well. Faeed wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wintzloff gets slowly back to his feet. Wintzloff shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wintzloff showed some decent athleticism there.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wintzloff lands a nice short elbow. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wintzloff in particular looking to stall. Faeed is trying to control but can't.
Wintzloff is trying to control. Faeed wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hasim Faeed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wintzloff with the ground and pound but Faeed uses the opportunity to regain guard. Wintzloff got a little sloppy there for a moment and Faeed has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wintzloff has managed to get both his arms back between Faeed's legs - danger averted. Wintzloff avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Faeed wants to stand and escape but Wintzloff is having none of it. Wintzloff trying to control but Faeed is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wintzloff won't allow Faeed to get back to his feet. Wintzloff postures up.
Wintzloff preventing the sweep. Faeed escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wintzloff gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Wintzloff postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Faeed has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wintzloff can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Faeed is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wintzloff is aware though and is defending well. Wintzloff stands up from Faeed's guard - Wintzloff perhaps looking for a knockout. Faeed throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wintzloff counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wintzloff. Wintzloff postures up in Faeed's guard and throws a big left but Faeed blocks it. Faeed striking off his back but it's not causing Wintzloff any problems. Jack Wintzloff is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wintzloff wants to control from the top but Faeed keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Wintzloff showed his dominance in that final round. Well Wintzloff has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
