Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antti Karpetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esa Akerlund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Akerlund's choice of entrance music: Rainer Friman - Valkeat vaunut. Akerlund has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Akerlund.
Akerlund bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Akerlund slips under a jab from Karpetti.
A big right from Karpetti misses.
Karpetti lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Antti Karpetti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Akerlund looks gassed!

Karpetti throws a poor cross that misses
letting Akerlund counter with a right hand.
Akerlund avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Karpetti slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Karpetti misses with a lunging right hand
and Akerlund counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Karpetti looks to land a left hand but Akerlund moved out of range nicely.
A head kick misses from Akerlund.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Karpetti throws a right and a left that both miss.
Akerlund takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Karpetti is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Karpetti lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Karpetti lands a big uppercut and Akerlund crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Akerlund looks OK. Karpetti waves Akerlund back to his feet!
Akerlund is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karpetti misses with a looping right.
Akerlund steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Karpetti.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Karpetti knocks Akerlund out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
