Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Jarvis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Liquid Paper!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paper tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jarvis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Paper looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jarvis tries to clinch there but Paper circles away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jarvis!


It looks like Liquid Paper has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jarvis. Paper does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jarvis fails with an attempt to clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jarvis is defended easily by Paper.
Jarvis shoots in looking for a takedown but Paper manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jarvis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jarvis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jarvis content to control rather than advance.
Jarvis is pressing down on Paper's thigh, looking to free his foot. Paper is holding on for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jarvis works his way into side control.

Jarvis stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Paper throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Paper lands with a nice combination. Jarvis backs away looking to recover.
Horrible takedown by Jarvis or perhaps it was just good defense by Paper which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Jarvis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jarvis tries a head kick but it misses.
Jarvis really is a fat lump.
Paper dodges the punch combination from Jarvis.
Jarvis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Paper shoots and misses

and Jarvis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Jarvis stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Jarvis takes the fight into the clinch.
Jarvis tries to land a knee to the head but Paper blocks with his arms.

Jarvis gets a trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jarvis maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Paper could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Jarvis has cracked it and Paper is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Jarvis!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Daniel Jarvis!
