Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Al (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al comes to the cage accompanied by Overkill. Matt Hughes acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mr Al!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Hughes !
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes closes the distance and clinches up with Al, looking for a takedown. Hughes pushes Al against the cage but Al circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hughes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Al pushes Hughes up against the cage in a clinch.
Hughes wants a takedown.
Mr Al has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Hughes .
A left hand lands to the body for Al.
Al working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Al scores with a shoulder strike.
Al breaks from the clinch.
Al wants to clinch up but Hughes keeps it at a distance.
Hughes takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Al lands a lovely overhand right.
Al lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hughes at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hughes fails with a takedown attempt.
Hughes looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Al scores with a shot to the body.
Al scores with a kick to the midsection.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Al lands a front kick.
Al fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Al fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hughes , pushing him back against the cage.
Good body shot from Al.
Still in the clinch, Al scores with a nice short uppercut.
Al lands a nice knee to the body.
Al lands a right hand.
Al gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Al breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Al gets a clinch.
Hughes is trying desperately to land a takedown but Al is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hughes .
Al scores with a shot to the side of Hughes 's head.
Al gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hughes .
Al manages to break the clinch.
Al throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Al lands with a right and another and another! Hughes is in big trouble! Al lands again and this time it's lights out for Hughes ! A quality knockout there for Al.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mr Al!
