Emo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Brotha Lynch Hung & MC Eiht - You Don't Know Who I Know. Donnie Emo had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strong closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Donnie Emo has been cut.
Strong fails with the takedown.
Emo misses with a right hand
and Strong counters by clinching up.
Emo letting Strong take a breather here.
Strong tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Strong.
Strong manages to break the clinch.

It looks like Jack Strong has been cut.
Emo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Strong's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Strong can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Emo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Emo is keen to just control but Strong is a slippery customer.
Emo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Strong is controlling Emo's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Strong is not content to let Emo control the position.
Emo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Strong!
Strong tries to lock up and control but Emo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Emo is looking to work his way around to Strong's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donnie Emo dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Strong doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Emo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Emo.
Emo throws a strike but Strong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Emo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Emo looking for a sweep. Not yet Emo, not yet.
Strong postures up in Emo's guard and throws a big left but Emo blocks it.
Emo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Emo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Strong manages to get himself to full guard.
Emo throws and elbow that misses. Strong uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Emo's guard. Nice move by Strong!
Strong working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Emo's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Strong wants to control from the top but Emo keeps moving.

Emo wants to sweep here but Strong controlling him for the moment.
Emo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Strong is looking for a sweep. Emo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Strong blocking the ground and pound attempt from Emo.
Strong is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Emo pulls his head out easily.
Strong makes his way to full guard, as Emo worked for a kimura.

Emo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Emo looking to finish Strong with some ground and pound. This is bad for Strong!

Emo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Strong gets back to half guard.
Emo uses his free foot to push down on Strong's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Strong.

Emo avoids the attempt from Strong to control.
Emo looking to ground and pound but Strong is blocking nicely.

Emo is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Strong is breathing heavily.
Strong is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Emo scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Emo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Strong is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Strong and Emo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
