Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Pawter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Zaldiar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roberto Zaldiar will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Pawter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roberto Zaldiar! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pawter is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Zaldiar's half guard. Zaldiar is trying to get back to full guard. Pawter decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Zaldiar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pawter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Zaldiar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pawter counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Nice straight punches there by Pawter. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Pawter.
It looks like Roberto Zaldiar has been cut. Zaldiar wants to clinch so Pawter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pawter throwing strikes but missing. Pawter looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pawter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Zaldiar keeping moving, preventing Pawter from controlling successfully. Pawter is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Zaldiar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Pawter is looking to stand up but Zaldiar won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Zaldiar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Zaldiar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Zaldiar throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Pawter because Zaldiar loaded up on that one. Zaldiar throws some wild stikes that Pawter manages to avoid easily.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Zaldiar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pawter is trying desperately to improve position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zaldiar sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Zaldiar scoring with strikes but Pawter is staying in there. Zaldiar lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Pawter hang on? Pawter is trying desperately to improve position. BOOM! Zaldiar connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Pawter wants to hold on but Zaldiar pushes him away. Zaldiar with a couple of short strikes. Pawter regains half guard. Zaldiar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Zaldiar drops an elbow to the side of Pawter's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zaldiar missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Pawter on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zaldiar scoring with strikes to the body and head. Pawter slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Zaldiar throws a strike but Pawter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Zaldiar keeping moving, preventing Pawter from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pawter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Robert Pawter will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Roberto Zaldiar's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Zaldiar drives through with a takedown into guard. Zaldiar being controlled here momentarily. Zaldiar thows a big elbow that misses. Zaldiar lands a couple of digs. Pawter looking for a sweep. Not yet Pawter, not yet. Zaldiar postures up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pawter preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Zaldiar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Zaldiar is working Pawter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Pawter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Zaldiar throwing strikes but missing. Pawter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zaldiar is controlling him. Zaldiar postures up in Pawter's guard and throws a big left but Pawter blocks it. Zaldiar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pawter works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Zaldiar with a flurry of punches that miss. Pawter wants to get back to his feet but Zaldiar is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zaldiar throws a strike but Pawter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Roberto Zaldiar has got the better of the ground game so far. Zaldiar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Pawter tries to roll over but Zaldiar keeps him under control. Pawter is working hard here to advance position. Pawter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Zaldiar is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zaldiar with the ground and pound but Pawter uses the opportunity to regain guard. Pawter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Zaldiar. Zaldiar working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Pawter trying to keep a closed guard but Zaldiar is proving a slippery customer.
Zaldiar lands a couple of digs. Pawter preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Pawter wants to sweep here but Zaldiar controlling him for the moment. Zaldiar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Zaldiar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pawter works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Zaldiar lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zaldiar working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pawter's head. Zaldiar passes Pawter's left leg - he's now in half guard. Zaldiar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pawter wants to improve his position but Zaldiar is controlling well.
Zaldiar not landing any meaningful shots this time. Zaldiar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pawter's head. Zaldiar looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Zaldiar lands strikes from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roberto Zaldiar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Roberto Zaldiar's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Pawter moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Pawter misses with a series of wild punches.
Pawter throws a series of punches but Zaldiar moves out of range. Pawter lands with a straight right. Zaldiar didn't see that one coming. Pawter closes the distance and clinches. Zaldiar drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pawter gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Pawter utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Pawter with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Zaldiar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pawter lands an elbow inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pawter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Pawter. Pawter stands up and beckons Zaldiar to his feet. Pawter lands a head kick!
Pawter throws a combination that misses and Zaldiar counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Pawter blocking the ground and pound attempt from Zaldiar. Pawter tries to get to full guard but Zaldiar has control of the leg. Zaldiar looks to land a strike but Pawter avoids it nicely and regains full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Zaldiar with a flurry of punches that miss. Pawter tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Zaldiar wants to sweep but no luck. Pawter trying to control but Zaldiar is working from the bottom. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Pawter tries to free his leg and advance position but Zaldiar is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zaldiar tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pawter wants to stand but Zaldiar has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We're going to have a standup here because Robert Pawter wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Zaldiar misses with a takedown attempt and Pawter moves into the clinch. Robert Pawter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Zaldiar. Pawter lands a nice elbow. Zaldiar drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pawter creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Pawter pulls guard successfully.
Pawter wants to sweep but no luck. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zaldiar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pawter managing to control the position. Zaldiar throwing strikes from guard but Pawter blocks nicely. Pawter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zaldiar postures up in Pawter's guard and throws a big left but Pawter blocks it. Zaldiar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Robert Pawter showed his dominance in that final round. I think Pawter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
