Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Hich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Pierre! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierre throws the left hand but Hich avoids the punch easily. Hich takes one on the button.
It looks like Jon Hich has been cut. Pierre throws a series of strikes that have Hich backpedaling.
Pierre's corner calls for a 1-2. Pierre obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Pierre lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pierre. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hich uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pierre. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Pierre. Hich shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hich connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pierre momentarily.
Pierre waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hich. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hich is defended easily by Pierre. Pierre looks to throw the jab but Hich is out of range. Hich avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A combination from Pierre does no damage. Hich shoots for a takedown but Pierre saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hich is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pierre. Pierre scores with the left hand. Hich knows he should have avoided that one.
Hich is rocked!
Jon Hich's cut is getting worse. Pierre stuffs the takedown attempt from Hich. Hich gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Hich. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hich is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pierre sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hich is breathing heavily. Pierre misses with a straight left. Hich gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pierre lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hich's sensitive parts. Hich staying out of range there. A jab from Pierre finds it's way through Hich's defenses. Oh Hich is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Crack! Pierre connects with the perfect overhand right and Hich falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Pierre!
