Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimitri Andreyev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Emerson MONTAIN! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MONTAIN shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Andreyev sprawls well. Andreyev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. MONTAIN gets slowly back to his feet. Andreyev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and MONTAIN counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Andreyev's guard now. MONTAIN passes into half guard. MONTAIN looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Andreyev trying to hold on to MONTAIN's head to control him but MONTAIN postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Andreyev is trying to defend against the ground and pound but MONTAIN scores with a couple of nice shots. Andreyev is looking to escape. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. MONTAIN connects with a nice short shot to Andreyev's temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andreyev tries to roll over but MONTAIN keeps him under control. MONTAIN prevents Andreyev from standing back up.
MONTAIN looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. MONTAIN with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. I looks like MONTAIN might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Andreyev on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Still in half guard, MONTAIN seems content to control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. MONTAIN is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. MONTAIN content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. MONTAIN seems to be looking for submissions.
MONTAIN controlling the action here. MONTAIN trying to mount his opponent but Andreyev defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MONTAIN is figuring out what he wants to do next. Andreyev is looking to escape. Andreyev is trying to control but can't.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Andreyev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and MONTAIN counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Andreyev thinking. Andreyev is breathing heavily. MONTAIN scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. MONTAIN slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. MONTAIN's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Andreyev is trying to maintain the position but MONTAIN is very close to passing his half guard. MONTAIN scoring with strikes to the body and head. MONTAIN is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Emerson MONTAIN was stalling too much, according to the referee. MONTAIN bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. MONTAIN controlling from side mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Emerson MONTAIN dominated that round. That's time! Andreyev's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Andreyev gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows MONTAIN to score an easy takedown into full guard. MONTAIN is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Emerson MONTAIN has got the better of the ground game so far. Andreyev looking to control.
MONTAIN seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Andreyev avoids the head kick by MONTAIN.
Andreyev has his takedown stuffed and MONTAIN counters with a single leg into guard. Andreyev didn't expect that. MONTAIN gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Andreyev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
MONTAIN forces Andreyev back against the cage and clinches. MONTAIN decides to pull guard. MONTAIN looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Andreyev wants to control from the top but MONTAIN keeps moving. MONTAIN is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Andreyev shoots and misses and MONTAIN counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Andreyev is looking to get back to full guard here but MONTAIN has managed to pass to side control instead. MONTAIN controlling the pace for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andreyev is wriggling around trying to escape.
MONTAIN scoring with strikes but Andreyev is staying in there. The referee warns Andreyev that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Andreyev tries to hold on but MONTAIN pushes him away. MONTAIN looking to finish Andreyev with some ground and pound. This is bad for Andreyev! MONTAIN landing strikes from the mount.
Andreyev is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Andreyev tries to reverse the position but MONTAIN maintains control. MONTAIN content just to control the position here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, MONTAIN cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
MONTAIN tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Andreyev is in a horrible position here. MONTAIN smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. MONTAIN content just to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Emerson MONTAIN showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
MONTAIN shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. MONTAIN looking to control and managing it successfully. Andreyev manages to regain half guard. Good work.

MONTAIN goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Andreyev rolls with the submission and now he's on top in MONTAIN's guard! Nice work there by Andreyev! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Andreyev thows a big elbow that misses. Andreyev avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Andreyev stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andreyev gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. MONTAIN controls from within his opponent's guard. MONTAIN gets to his feet. Andreyev looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! MONTAIN shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Andreyev napping and manages to drive through into side control! Andreyev wants to get back to his feet. MONTAIN working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andreyev is looking to regain half guard here but MONTAIN keeps moving and retains side control. MONTAIN has been the more effective fighter overall so far. MONTAIN stands up and beckons Andreyev to his feet. MONTAIN shoots in and gets a takedown into Andreyev's guard. Andreyev is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Andreyev is looking to stand up but MONTAIN isn't so interested in that idea. Dimitri Andreyev has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Emerson MONTAIN is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Both fighters are breathing heavily. MONTAIN looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
And that's the end of the fight! Emerson MONTAIN comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well MONTAIN has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
