Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Korter Poundre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Gunz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Poundre might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Did My Time. Korter Poundre has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poundre connects with a nice looking jab.
Poundre drops Gunz with a left and a right! Oh, Gunz is hurt - Poundre dives into side control looking to finish!
Gunz is rocked!
It looks like Kyle Gunz has been cut.
Poundre tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Poundre has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gunz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Poundre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gunz tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gunz can't do much from the bottom here.
Poundre tries to move into full mount but can't pass Gunz's legs.
Poundre wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gunz, who protects the arm well.

Gunz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Poundre asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Gunz sneaks out the side door and pushes Poundre away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Poundre avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kyle Gunz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Poundre throws a nice looking combination but Gunz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Poundre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gunz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gunz moves in looking to clinch but Poundre pushes him off.
Gunz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Poundre, pushing him back against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Gunz.
The is referee keeping an eye on Gunz - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Gunz misses with an elbow over the top.

Gunz misses with a knee to the head.
Gunz looks gassed!
Gunz stalls.
Poundre tries to pull guard but Gunz holds him up against the cage and eventually Poundre drops back down to his feet.
Poundre wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gunz throws an elbow but it misses.
Poundre drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gunz gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gunz slows down the pace here.
Poundre tries to pull guard but Gunz won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Korter Poundre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Poundre jumps guard but Gunz stands there with Poundre around his waist. Poundre gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Poundre looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gunz moves in looking to clinch but Poundre pushes him off.
Poundre tries to keep at a distance but Gunz has taken the fight into the clinch.

Poundre fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gunz tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Poundre counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Poundre shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Poundre doesn't manage to clinch there - Gunz circles away.
Gunz moves into the clinch.
Gunz lands an elbow that stopped Poundre in his tracks for a moment.
Gunz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gunz drives through and clinches with Poundre against the cage.
Gunz gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Poundre tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
With the fighters up against the cage, Gunz throws an elbow but misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gunz manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Poundre looking for a triangle here. Gunz is fighting it but it looks tight! Poundre pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Gunz is tapping out - this one is all over!
