Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Itof Meyachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Tweedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tweedy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hummingbird by Wilco kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyachev moves in looking to clinch but Tweedy pushes him off.
Tweedy tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Meyachev counters with a shoot takedown. Tweedy fights it but they end up in guard.

Meyachev not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tweedy is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Meyachev had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tweedy is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Meyachev Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tweedy's back instead.

and Meyachev moves into the clinch.

Meyachev has Tweedy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tweedy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
