Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Connor Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaun Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conway has chosen Amazing - Kanye West as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shaun Conway!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay misses with an uppercut
and Conway connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Conway avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Conway swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Clay counters with a nice double leg into side control. Conway won't be happy with that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Clay goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Conway rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Clay's guard! Nice work there by Conway!
Conway wants to control from the top but Clay keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Shaun Conway hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Clay might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Clay somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

That was a close round but I would say that Connor Clay will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Clay has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Clay is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Conway has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Clay goes for an armbar but Conway turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Conway.

Clay has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Conway doesn't defend quickly enough and Clay has managed to lock this one up! Can Conway escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Clay on a fantastic submission victory.
