Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rip James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bett Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by What's the difference. Rogers is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by From Eminem to HWP. Bett Rogers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rip James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bett Rogers! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers looks to score with a jab to the body but James is just out of range. James looks to throw the jab but Rogers is out of range. Rip James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James throws an off balance right hand
and Rogers counters into the clinch. Nicely done. James lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Rogers. A nice glancing elbow lands by Rogers.
It looks like Rip James has been cut. Nice body punch from James. Rogers looks gassed! James pushes Rogers back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! James misses with a punch on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from James fails to land. James lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rogers or not. Rogers prevents a body shot from James. James wants to break free but Rogers has control.
James drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rogers gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rogers looks to throw an elbow but misses. James decides to pull guard. James is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. James throwing shots but Rogers is blocking nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rogers can do anything to dispel that myth. Rogers is looking to reverse the position. Rogers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time James. James is working for a kimura here but Rogers manages to reverse the position and he's now in James's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. James manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rogers manages to get himself to full guard.

and Rogers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. James will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. James wants to sweep but no luck. James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. James manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, James cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
James misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Rogers slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. James is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rogers wants to improve his position but James is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rogers swivels though and keeps the full guard. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Rogers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rogers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst James is controlling him. Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. James trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. James loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. James trying to control but Rogers is working from the bottom. James is looking to work some ground and pound but Rogers has wrist control. James throws and elbow that misses. Rogers uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Rogers! James is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
James is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rogers is aware though and is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rip James will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Rip James's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Rogers takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Rogers throws a body punch but James moves out of range. Rogers shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily. James throws a lazy uppercut

and Rogers counters with a single leg into guard. James didn't expect that. James throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rogers escapes and throws James's legs to the side, diving into side control! James is trying to get back to half guard. James is being controlled here. James tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rogers controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. James works his way to full guard. Good work. Rogers wants to control from the top but James keeps moving. Bett Rogers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James tries to land a sweep but no joy. James lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rogers! Rogers blocking the ground and pound. James lands a big shot there that rocks Rogers but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rogers has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Rip James is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. James controlling the position easily from mount. Rogers keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. James working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. James looking to ground and pound but Rogers is blocking nicely. Rogers can't escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Bett Rogers. Well James has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
