The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dillenger throws a solid leg kick but Tsushima takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Dillenger.

and Tsushima counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Dillenger pushes Tsushima away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tsushima gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Tsushima wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dillenger, who protects the arm well.

Dillenger is looking to reverse the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Tsushima lands a jab-cross combination.
Tsushima bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tsushima advances to mount.
Tsushima trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Dillenger is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lewis Tsushima.
I think Dillenger has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
