The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raiser misses with a double jab
and Batista counters with a stiff right hand.
Batista connects with a solid leg kick.
Raiser moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like David Michael Batista has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Batista lands a body shot.
Batista misses the shot to the body.
Raiser tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Raiser is breathing heavily.
Raiser connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Batista's hands.
Tony Raiser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Batista makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Batista scores with a hook to the body. Raiser takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Batista turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Batista fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Raiser has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Batista looks to land a combination. Raiser sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Raiser showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Batista.

Raiser is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Batista lands a left and a right that send Raiser crashing to the mat, dazed. Batista thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
