And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deville scores with a punch to the head.
Velasquez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Velasquez moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Velasquez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Deville is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Velasquez moves in looking to clinch but Deville pushes him off.
Velasquez takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Deville shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Velasquez napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Velasquez takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Deville is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Velasquez will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Deville keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Velasquez's head.
Deville wants to control from the top but Velasquez keeps moving.

Velasquez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Deville gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Velasquez wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Deville manages to pass to side control.

Velasquez moves into full guard.
Deville is looking to work some ground and pound but Velasquez has wrist control.

Deville stands and steps away. Velasquez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Nice uppercut there from Velasquez.
Velasquez lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Velasquez misses with a wild combination.
A slapping body kick lands there for Deville.
Velasquez tries to clinch up but Deville circles away and keeps his distance.

Deville darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Velasquez wants to control but Deville is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Deville works his foot free and advances to mount.
Velasquez is squirming around, avoiding Deville's attempts to control the action.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Deville feints and as Velasquez raises his hands in defense, Deville changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Velasquez wanted to stand there but Deville had control of the position.
