Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Carnitine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carnitine has chosen Doro Pesch and Udo Dirkschneider covering Breaking the Law as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pablo Escobar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Larry Carnitine!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Carnitine looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Carnitine throws a combination that misses
and Escobar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Carnitine swings widly with a right hand
and Escobar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Escobar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Carnitine fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Carnitine shoots in for a takedown but Escobar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Escobar has taken the fight to the clinch.
Escobar gets control of Carnitine's arms and successfully pulls guard. Escobar will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Carnitine wants to pass the guard but Escobar is keeping the position.

Carnitine throwing strikes from guard but Escobar blocks nicely.
Carnitine postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Escobar is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Carnitine, into his guard.
Escobar wants to stand but Carnitine is controlling his posture from full guard.

Carnitine working for a triangle but Escobar defends it easily.
Carnitine wants to control the position but Escobar says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Carnitine tries to roll over but Escobar keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carnitine wants to sweep but Escobar has passed to side control!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Carnitine trying to remain calm as Escobar controls from the top position.
Carnitine is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Carnitine is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Escobar controls the position.
Carnitine sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Carnitine is looking for a sweep. Escobar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Escobar is breathing heavily.
Carnitine actively working from the bottom here.

Carnitine tries to roll over but Escobar keeps him under control.
Escobar is nestled in close to Carnitine, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Carnitine moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Carnitine tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Escobar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Carnitine wants to control the position but Escobar says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Escobar is keen to just control but Carnitine is a slippery customer.
Carnitine wants to improve his position but Escobar is controlling well.
Carnitine moves into full guard.
Escobar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Escobar wanted to stand there but Carnitine had control of the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Escobar slips under a jab.
Carnitine misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Escobar tries to score with a low kick but Carnitine moves his leg out of the way.
Escobar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carnitine swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Larry Carnitine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carnitine slips a jab and a cross from Escobar.
Carnitine misses with a wild body shot.
Escobar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Carnitine!
Carnitine working to try and regain half guard.
Carnitine regains half guard.
Carnitine wants to improve his position but Escobar is controlling well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Escobar uses his free foot to push down on Carnitine's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Carnitine.
Carnitine tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Carnitine regains half guard.
Carnitine gets full guard.
Carnitine looking for a guillotine here but Escobar defends easily.

Escobar trying to control the position from guard on top but Carnitine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Carnitine is looking for a triangle here but Escobar uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Escobar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Carnitine is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Escobar's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Escobar! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Carnitine has tapped! This one is allllll over!
