Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kong Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rocky Balboa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kong Po! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balboa scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Po looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Po taking some punishment here, with Balboa in his half guard. Po avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Balboa. Balboa performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Balboa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Po missing with punches from the bottom.
Balboa is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Rocky Balboa has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Po fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Po doesn't succeed with the takedown and Balboa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Balboa stays in close to Po's body and controls the position. Balboa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balboa stands and steps away. Po gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Balboa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Balboa lands in his opponent's guard. Balboa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Po has an active guard here but Balboa has managed to pass into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balboa keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rocky Balboa. Po misses with a looping left. Excellent takedown into side control there by Balboa. Balboa lands a nice forearm strike. Po taking punishment in the form of punches.
Po takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balboa works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. A lull in the action here. Balboa is putting a hurting on Po here, landing some big shots from side control. Balboa controlling the position from side mount. Balboa in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Po is being controlled here. Po manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Balboa controlling the action here. Balboa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Po doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Balboa. Balboa frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rocky Balboa dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
No luck for Balboa with that takedown attempt. Balboa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Balboa tries to pass to full mount but Po defends it. Po throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Balboa is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Po looking for submissions off his back. Po is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Balboa pulls his head out easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We're going to have a standup here because Rocky Balboa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. A punch combination from Po misses. Balboa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Po looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balboa takes a little break here. Po wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Balboa working away. Po is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Balboa works to advance to full mount. Po defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Balboa lands a heavy elbow. Balboa controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balboa jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Po manages to avoid the submission attempt. Balboa trying to control the action but Po is working from the bottom. Po is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Balboa's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Balboa passes the guard and advances to mount! Balboa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Po is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Po wants to hold on but Balboa pushes him away. Balboa working away from the top, dropping strikes. Balboa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Balboa is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Po to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Po shrugs it off. Po is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Balboa controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rocky Balboa dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Po with a poor takedown and Balboa counters with a nice leg kick. Balboa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Po's half guard. Po is defending against the submission attempts here by Balboa.
Balboa decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Balboa steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Po. Balboa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Balboa tries to clinch but Po moves away and Po counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Balboa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Balboa shoots in looking for a takedown but Po manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Balboa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Balboa scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Po tries to strike but it doesn't land. Balboa staying calm. Po manages to work his way to half guard, despite Balboa's best efforts. Po punching from the bottom.
Balboa with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Balboa wants to free his trapped foot but Po is holding on for dear life with his legs. Balboa is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Po keeping moving, preventing Balboa from controlling successfully. Balboa wants to stand but Po is controlling his posture from full guard. Balboa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Po is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Po has escaped and now he's on top! Po wants to control from the top but Balboa keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balboa trying to strike off his back.
Balboa lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Po! Balboa breaks from Po's wrist control and lands an elbow. Balboa controlling from mount. Rocky Balboa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Balboa seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Po for as long as he can get away with. Balboa misses with some ground and pound and Po recovers position to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Po flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Po is trying to maintain the position but Balboa is very close to passing his half guard. And that's the end of the fight! Rocky Balboa showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Balboa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
