Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan McPhee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McPhee comes to the cage accompanied by Loose yourself. White comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The White Stripes - Ball and Biscuit kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan McPhee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Jack White! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White scores with a nice strike. White throws a combination that misses and McPhee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. White lands a body shot.
White connects with a good right hand that stumbles McPhee. McPhee circles away out of range and recomposes himself. McPhee pushing out the jab but it's not landing. McPhee walks into a straight right hand from White. White throws a series of punches but McPhee moves out of range. McPhee throws a front kick aimed at White's knee but White avoids it well. White looks to throw the jab but McPhee is out of range. White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
White uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McPhee.
McPhee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in White's guard. White looking for a sweep. Not yet White, not yet. White is adopting a defensive guard. White looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. McPhee postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. McPhee missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. McPhee prevents White from getting back to his feet. McPhee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. McPhee pushing down on White's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. McPhee takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. White keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. McPhee scoring with strikes to the body and head. McPhee scoring with strikes to the body and head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White has his hands clasped together around McPhee's back. He's all about the action. McPhee is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and White reverses the position - he's now on top in McPhee's guard. McPhee keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. McPhee looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. White slips nicely into half guard. White keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. McPhee is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of White's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take White's back! McPhee is looking for the choke from the back position but White is controlling his hands well. McPhee lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by McPhee.
McPhee has the hooks in. White is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. White manages to stand up with McPhee still on his back. Eventually McPhee drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. McPhee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from White.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McPhee shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches White napping and manages to drive through into side control! McPhee throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Sloppy strikes there by McPhee. An elbow from McPhee crashes against the mat.
McPhee working the ground and pound but White is defending the strikes. White can't do much from the bottom here. White parries the strikes from McPhee easily there. McPhee is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable White to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McPhee wants to control but White is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan McPhee dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

McPhee scores with a decent looking hook. McPhee rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and White counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. McPhee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with White, pushing him back against the cage. White prevents the takedown attempt.
White tries to break the clinch but McPhee is controlling the position. White looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A quick uppercut on the inside from McPhee. McPhee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but White gets the underhooks and prevents it.
McPhee doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
McPhee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McPhee has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McPhee on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. White misses with a double jab.
White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's one minute gone in the round. McPhee slips under a jab. White takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
McPhee closes the distance and clinches. White wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McPhee tries to score a body lock takedown but White shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan McPhee. That's going to take a lot out of him. White is trying to force a seperation but McPhee has the dominant position. McPhee pulls White into guard.
McPhee looking to hit a scissor sweep but White is one step ahead there. McPhee keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. McPhee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McPhee throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
McPhee is looking for a triangle but White pushes his legs off easily.
McPhee wants to sweep but no luck. White is looking to stand up but McPhee won't let him. McPhee throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
White must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. White content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McPhee trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! White got a little sloppy there for a moment and McPhee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between McPhee's legs - danger averted. McPhee keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. White throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McPhee works some decent striking defense from the bottom. White wants to stand but McPhee has a closed guard, so he can't escape. McPhee thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McPhee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. McPhee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. White doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. White manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. McPhee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McPhee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan McPhee will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

McPhee closes the distance and clinches up with White, looking for a takedown. McPhee pushes White against the cage but White circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. White looks to land a combination but McPhee avoids it well. McPhee avoids a punch combination nicely.
A combination from White does no damage. Good standup being displayed there by White as he connects with a hook. A slow jab from White misses its intended target. McPhee fails to land with a series of punches.
McPhee misses with a shot to the body and White counters with a left and a right that stings McPhee. McPhee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McPhee avoids a lazy jab quite easily. McPhee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sloppy strikes there by McPhee. Both fighters are breathing heavily. White is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. McPhee landing a few strikes. White tries to get back to half guard but can't. McPhee looking to punish the body of his opponent here but White is avoiding damage well.
McPhee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but White is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. White struggling a bit here. McPhee in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. McPhee working away. Ryan McPhee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. White taking punishment in the form of punches.
White tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McPhee wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. McPhee is working White over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McPhee tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. McPhee in side control lands a decent elbow. White takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. McPhee throwing strikes but White manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! McPhee is trying to get back to half guard. White wants to stand but McPhee has his arm trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McPhee is looking for a sweep. Jack White has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ryan McPhee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. McPhee struggling a bit here. McPhee is looking to reverse the position. McPhee is holding White down, trying to stall. White looking to punish the body of his opponent here but McPhee is avoiding damage well.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryan McPhee showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McPhee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
