Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xavier David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Knighton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David comes to the cage accompanied by Bring The Pain. The crowd seem to be enjoying Knighton's choice of entrance music: Move by Thousand Foot Krutch. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by David.
David lands with a shot to the body.
Knighton tries to clinch but David moves out of range.
David plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
A right-left combo lands from David.
David connects with a high kick.
David uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Knighton has time to react.
David throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
David throws a right hand that Knighton ducks under and follows up with a left that Knighton also avoids with ease.
Knighton shoots in for a takedown but David shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
David cracks Knighton with a good jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
David ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
David bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Knighton's head backwards.
Knighton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Knighton takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Knighton shoots in and drives through. David sprawls well.
Xavier David has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Knighton.
Knighton walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Xavier David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knighton chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before David can pounce on him.

David scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

David feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Knighton's calf.

Knighton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Knighton there as he acknowledges the shot.
David tests Knighton's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for David.
Knighton on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
David lands with a thumping leg kick.
David plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
That kick from David tenderised Knighton's leg. Knighton is trying to keep his angry face on.

It looks like Danny Knighton has been cut.
Nice straight punches there by David. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of David.

Knighton takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
David connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A head kick from David lands but Knighton takes it in his stride.
A good leg kick by David.
Knighton has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from David finds it's way round the side to connect with Knighton's head.
David stalks Knighton and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Knighton's face. Knighton staggers backwards, shaken.
A nice combination there by David.
David pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Knighton back to the cage. David follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Knighton is rocked!
David throws a nice head kick!
Knighton is still on wobbly legs! Can David finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
David throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Knighton seems to have recovered his senses.
David closes the distance and lands a one-two.

David is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Knighton on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by David. David obviously looking to wear him down.
David lands with a straight right. Knighton didn't see that one coming.
David goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Crunch! David slams his shin into Knighton's torso.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
David shoots in and bounces Knighton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
David with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Danny Knighton's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

David has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. David lands a nice short elbow.
David is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Knighton can do to turn this around?
Knighton is breathing heavily.
David is nestled in close to Knighton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

David cracks Knighton with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! David immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Knighton is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by David!
