Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshimo Hiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winston Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiro comes to the cage accompanied by My Hero. On his way into the cage it seems that Hiroshimo Hiro has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hiroshimo Hiro seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hiroshimo Hiro! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Winston Steel! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel walks into a jab. Steel throws a looping overhand right but Hiro ducks down to avoid it. A shot to the body from Steel misses and Hiro counters with a shoot takedown. Steel fights it but they end up in guard. Hiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steel swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hiro wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Hiro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hiro is looking to advance position but Steel has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Hiro is controlling an arm, preventing Steel from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Hiro wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Steel.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hiro is now in Steel's guard. A big mistake from Steel there, giving up the dominant position! Hiro wants to pass the guard but Steel is keeping the position. Steel working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hiro. Steel wants to stand but Hiro is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hiro wants to pass the guard but Steel is keeping the position. Hiro wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Steel throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Nice move by Steel! Hiro bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Steel's guard. Steel working for a triangle but Hiro defends it easily.

and Hiro counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hiro trying to mount his opponent but Steel defends it. Steel is in trouble now - Hiro has advanced to mount! Steel is desperately trying to improve his position but Hiro has a good base and remains in mount. Hiro fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Hiro is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Steel can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hiro tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hiro putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Hiro trying to control but Steel is having none of it. Steel bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Steel is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hiro is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hiro has escaped and now he's on top! Hiro wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hiro manages to get himself to full guard.
Hiro has his hands on Steel's head, controlling the position. Steel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hiro is keeping the position for now. Steel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hiro dives on top into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hiro stays in close to Steel's body and controls the position. Hiro wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Hiro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hiro throws a big right hand that misses. Hiroshimo Hiro dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hiro shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Steel napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hiro goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Steel has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hiro but great work by Steel. Steel wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hiro, who protects the arm well. Hiro regains half guard. Hiroshimo Hiro overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Steel misses with a head shot. Hiro uses the momentum to regain guard. Steel wants to pass the guard but Hiro is keeping the position. Hiro is trying to control the position but Steel postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel is looking to advance position but Hiro has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Steel is trying to escape the mount.
Hiro goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Steel is on top in guard.
Steel with a nice head shot there. Steel throws a strike but Hiro rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hiro controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hiro advances position into side control! Hiro scoring with punches from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hiro is working Steel over with some ground and pound from side control. Hiro throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Steel is not content to let Hiro control the position. The strikes coming from Hiro are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Steel gets back to half guard. Hiro with the ground and pound but Steel uses the opportunity to regain guard. Hirois looking to pass into half guard but Steel pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Steel is in guard. Steel looking to pass the guard. Hiro has control of Steel's left arm, preventing Steel from doing any damage. Steel pushing down on Hiro's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiroshimo Hiro clearly takes that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Steel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hiro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hiro keeping moving, preventing Steel from controlling successfully. Hiro has control of Steel's left arm, preventing Steel from doing any damage. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Steel throwing strikes but missing. Hiro utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Steel wants to pass the guard but Hiro is keeping the position. Steel is looking to stand up but Hiro won't let him. Steel wants to pass the guard but Hiro is keeping the position. Steel preventing the sweep. Steel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Steel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hiro works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Steel throwing strikes from guard but Hiro blocks nicely. Hiro is controlling Steel's posture. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

A close fourth round but Winston Steel will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Hiro fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Steel on the side of the head. Steel misses with an uppercut
letting Hiro counter with a right hand. Steel lands a nice hook to Hiro's body. Hiro takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Steel throws a leg kick but Hiro moved away. Steel tries for a takedown but Hiro circles away easily and Hiro counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hiro thows a body shot but no joy. Steel gets caught flat footed, as Hiro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Steel pushes Hiro off and gets back to his feet.
Hiro swings for the body but Steel moves out of range.
Jab, jab by Hiro - just one landing. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Hiro misses with a few strikes there.
Steel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Hiro throwing shots but Steel is blocking nicely. Hiro is looking to advance position but Steel won't allow it. Hiro is just content to waste time from the top position. Steel takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Hiro slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hiro off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. A lazy left from Hiro finds it's target. Steel misses with an uppercut
and Hiro cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Steel swings and misses with a shot to the body and Hiro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hiro feints and as Steel raises his hands in defense, Hiro changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Steel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hiro keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Hiro has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Steel is working away from the top position though. Steel working over Hiro with some ground and pound. Hiro looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Hiro keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Steel wants to advance to full mount but Hiro doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
And that's the end of the fight! Hiroshimo Hiro showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hiro has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
