Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raul Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abigail Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abigail Austin told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raul Gonzalez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abigail Austin! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Austin throws a sloppy head kick and Gonzalez moves out of range easily. Austin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Austin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gonzalez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gonzalez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gonzalez controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Austin wants to get back to his feet but Gonzalez is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Gonzalez is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Gonzalez advances to half guard. Gonzalez with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Austin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gonzalez. Well, if Gonzalez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gonzalez lands strikes from half guard. Austin is trying to stand up here but Gonzalez is controlling him well. Ground and pound from Gonzalez. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gonzalez scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Gonzalez slips a nice elbow through Austin's hands, connecting with Austin's forehead. Gonzalez controlling the pace. Gonzalez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalez not doing much here.
Gonzalez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Austin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gonzalez. Gonzalez passes the guard and advances to mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gonzalez dominating with strikes here. Austin tries to buck Gonzalez off but he can't manage it. Gonzalez looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Austin is bucking up trying to escape but Gonzalez cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Gonzalez looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gonzalez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gonzalez controlling his opponent. Gonzalez with good strikes from the mount here! Gonzalez has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Austin is forced to tap!
