Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kale Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cruz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welcome to the Jungle. Pierce has chosen Billy Talent - Devil On My Shoulder as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kale Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Angel Pierce!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pierce manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Pierce bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cruz's guard.

Pierce passes Cruz's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Pierce is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cruz is just riding it out for now. Pierce eventually gives up the hold.
Cruz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cruz.

Pierce has gone for a leg lock! Cruz slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pierce's guard.

Pierce makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Pierce throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cruz lunges at Pierce with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pierce's hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pierce throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cruz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pierce's guard.

Cruz wants to control from the top but Pierce keeps moving.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cruz lands a nice short elbow.
Pierce wants to get back to full guard but Cruz has mounted him!

Pierce is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pierce is looking to improve his position but Cruz isn't that keen on the idea.

Pierce is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Cruz postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Pierce bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Cruz and the fight is over!
