Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximo Bertnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Martin had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bertnar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bertnar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bertnar tries to stand and escape but Martin is controlling the position.
Martin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bertnar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bertnar is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Bertnar extends the arm and Martin is forced to tap!
