Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrell Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen 2-Pac (Hit Em Up) as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Bobby Cooper has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bobby Cooper seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bobby Cooper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kendrell Johnson! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson moves to clinch but Cooper breaks away and Cooper counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cooper stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet. Johnson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cooper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Cooper throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease. Johnson tries to clinch and Cooper counters with a one-two to the body. No joy there for Cooper, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cooper counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnson's guard now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cooper with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper preventing the sweep. Cooper is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Johnson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cooper manages to pass to side control. Cooper prevents Johnson from improving his position. Cooper throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Cooper sitting and controlling from the half guard. Cooper is just content to waste time from the top position. Johnson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cooper pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johnson is keeping the position for now. Cooper working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Johnson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cooper. Cooper prevents Johnson from getting back to his feet. Cooper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Johnson's head. Cooper working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cooper circles away from the clinch attempt and Cooper makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Cooper circles away.
Johnson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cooper. Johnson shoots and misses and Cooper counters with a three punch combo that has Johnson backing up. Johnson nods at Cooper to acknowledge the strikes. Bobby Cooper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendrell Johnson. Cooper misses with a few strikes there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson tries to clinch up and Cooper counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cooper cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Johnson looks gassed! Cooper throws a leg kick that is checked and Johnson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cooper! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Cooper has worked his arm free - good work by Cooper!
Johnson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cooper rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Johnson's guard! Nice work there by Cooper! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson. Johnson tries for a takedown but Cooper circles away easily and Cooper counters with a two punch combo. Cooper throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Cooper shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnson's guard. Cooper trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Johnson is looking to stand up but Cooper won't let him. Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Cooper slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard. Johnson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cooper lands a couple of digs. Cooper throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cooper wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Cooper working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cooper trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cooper's guard. Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cooper works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Johnson won't allow Cooper to get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnson wants to control from the top but Cooper keeps moving. Johnson wants to pass the guard but Cooper is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnson wants to control from the top but Cooper keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kendrell Johnson was stalling too much, according to the referee. Cooper throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease. Cooper swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Johnson moves nicely into side control. Johnson working the ground and pound but Cooper is defending the strikes. Kendrell Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far. Johnson is trying to get an arm triangle but Cooper is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Bobby Cooper will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
