Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hong Lii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fatu Tua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hong Lii has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hong Lii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fatu Tua! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tua stuffs the takedown attempt from Lii. Lii gets slowly back to his feet. Lii fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lii looks for a takedown but Tua sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hong Lii. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lii looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tua is fending him off so far but Lii persists. Nope, Tua circles away and we're back to standing. Tua throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lii takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Hong Lii has been cut. Lii throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lii looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lii slips under a jab. Tua misses with a double jab
so Lii counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lii slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tua is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lii sitting in guard here, content to control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lii accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tua really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lii. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lii controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Tua working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lii. Lii thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tua looking for a sweep. Not yet Tua, not yet. Lii slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Lii will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Tua connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tua scores with the left hand. Lii knows he should have avoided that one. Tua keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lii is breathing heavily. Lii takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Lii changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tua tries to avoid it but Lii manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tua to the ground. Tua escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lii takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Tua connects with a looping right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fatu Tua dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hong Lii's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Lii takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Tua waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lii. Tua lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Lii dives in and grabs Tua's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tua pushes down on Lii's head and hops out. A cross from Tua lands. Tua stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tua wants it to stay on the feet. Tua might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lii takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Lii shoots for a double leg takedown but Tua sprawls well. He's pushed Lii's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hong Lii. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. and Tua counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Lii! He's just covering up as Tua starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!
