Koski comes to the cage accompanied by Dj Neon - In Hardtrance I Trust . Kuusisto has chosen System of a down - Chop Suey as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomi Koski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Armas Kuusisto!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Koski.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kuusisto looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Koski misses with a hook.
Kuusisto slips a straight right by Koski.
Kuusisto takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Armas Kuusisto has been cut.
Koski cracks a nice hook into Kuusisto's ribs.
Koski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Koski counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A good leg kick by Kuusisto.
Koski scores with a jab.
Koski lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Koski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kuusisto lands with a kick to the temple. Koski shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Tomi Koski has been cut.
Koski is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

and Koski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kuusisto throws a leg kick
and Koski counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Koski scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kuusisto doesn't seem bothered though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kuusisto gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Koski scores with a jab to the jaw.
Koski scores with a sloppy right hand. Kuusisto should have avoided that one.
Kuusisto throws a leg kick
and Koski counters with a stiff right hand.


That has opened up Armas Kuusisto's cut even more.
Kuusisto lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Koski circles away quickly and effectively.
Kuusisto avoids a kick to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Koski's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kuusisto connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Koski scrambles back to his feet.
Koski is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Kuusisto checks the leg kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Koski.
Koski throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Koski is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Nice cross by Koski.
Koski connects with a leg kick. Kuusisto looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Koski scores with a hook to the body. Kuusisto takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Koski uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kuusisto.
Kuusisto gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Koski.
Kuusisto shoots in looking for a takedown. Koski tries to sprawl out of it but Kuusisto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Koski scores with a shot to the body.

Nice shot lands for Koski.
Kuusisto fails with a takedown attempt.
Koski shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kuusisto eats them both and turns towards Koski to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


The cut above Armas Kuusisto's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kuusisto misses with a double jab
and Koski counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tomi Koski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Good standup being displayed there by Koski as he connects with a hook.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kuusisto tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A low kick from Kuusisto misses
and Koski counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Koski fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Koski lands a nice hook to Kuusisto's body. Kuusisto takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Koski feints and then cracks Kuusisto's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kuusisto down.
Koski bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kuusisto's head backwards.


Armas Kuusisto's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Kuusisto slips a jab and a cross from Koski.
Koski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kuusisto stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Koski cracks a nice hook into Kuusisto's ribs.
Koski moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tomi Koski dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Koski makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Koski lands with a nice body punch.

Koski lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Armas Kuusisto's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
