Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between chopper reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reynolds is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Night Diving. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, chopper reid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matt Reynolds! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reynolds tries to score with a low kick but reid moves his leg out of the way. reid doesn't succeed with the takedown and Reynolds counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Reynolds trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. reid wants to stand but Reynolds is controlling the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reynolds accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. reid wants to sweep but no luck. Reynolds throws a big right hand that misses. Reynolds thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Reynolds trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Reynolds trying to control but reid is working from the bottom. reid is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. reid is pulling down on Reynolds's head to control his posture. Reynolds with a flurry of punches that miss. reid working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Reynolds has passed into half guard!
Reynolds not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Reynolds looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. reid bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Reynolds's guard. Reynolds is adopting a defensive guard. Reynolds is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. reid trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Reynolds avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. reid is fighting to break Reynolds's control of his arms but Reynolds is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Reynolds kicks reid off and gets to his feet. reid misses with a takedown attempt and Reynolds counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Reynolds wants to take a breather but reid is having none of it. reid trying to hold on to Reynolds's head to control him but Reynolds postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. reid tries to bench press Reynolds off him but Reynolds keeps the position. reid is working to avoid the ground and pound but Reynolds connects with a decent elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reynolds connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused reid some visible discomfort.
Reynolds wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by reid, who protects the arm well. reid is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Reynolds is putting a hurting on reid here, landing some big shots from side control. Reynolds working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Reynolds working away.

Reynolds works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Reynolds lands some shots froms side control. Reynolds misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Reynolds gets to mount! reid was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Reynolds avoids the attempt from reid to control. Matt Reynolds has got the better of the ground game so far. Reynolds controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Reynolds showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Sloppy strikes there by Reynolds. reid is trying to escape the position but Reynolds is controlling the position. reid struggling a bit here. reid parries the strikes from Reynolds easily there. Reynolds is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable reid to escape.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Matt Reynolds is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. reid tries to clinch but Reynolds moves away so Reynolds counters with a double leg into guard. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Reynolds feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Reynolds slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Reynolds comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Reynolds has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
