Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rayne Wooney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sidney Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevenson has chosen Simple Man as his entrance music. Rayne Wooney has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Rayne Wooney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Sidney Stevenson! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Wooney to counter with a crisp jab. Wooney cracks Stevenson with an open hand slap. Stevenson throws an off balance right hand
and Wooney counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Stevenson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wooney decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stevenson's guard. Wooney throws a big right hand that misses. Stevenson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Stevenson controls Wooney momentarily but Wooney frees himself. Wooney drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wooney jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Stevenson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wooney trying to control the position from guard on top but Stevenson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wooney drops back looking for a leg! Stevenson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stevenson manages to kick Wooney off! Wooney jumps back into Stevenson's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wooney tries to free his leg and advance position but Stevenson is retaining full guard. Wooney thows a big elbow that misses. Wooney loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wooney trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooney pushing down on Stevenson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Wooney missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Stevenson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Wooney. Stevenson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wooney. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wooney seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stevenson is looking to escape. Wooney thows a huge punch but Stevenson dodges it nicely.
Wooney is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Wooney is trying to work for a kimura but Stevenson is defending well.
Wooney works his way into side control. Wooney misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wooney postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Stevenson wants to control but Wooney postures up. Sloppy strikes there by Wooney. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stevenson can do anything to dispel that myth. Wooney tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Wooney trying to control the action but Stevenson is working from the bottom. Stevenson taking a bit of punishment here - Wooney scoring with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooney in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Wooney tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wooney has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wooney throwing shots but missing, from side control. Wooney is trying to get an arm triangle but Stevenson is defending well. Stevenson regains half guard there - taking advantage of Wooney's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Wooney winds up and cracks Stevenson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rayne Wooney dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wooney digs a right hand into Stevenson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Stevenson's gas tank. Wooney has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Stevenson goes down! Wooney pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!

Stevenson is rocked! Wooney in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Stevenson is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
