Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manny Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bashir Saladin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pacquiao comes to the cage accompanied by ten thousand fists. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manny Pacquiao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bashir Saladin!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saladin throws a sloppy body shot
and Pacquiao counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pacquiao lands a jab to Saladin's midsection.
Saladin scoring well with a low kick there.
Pacquiao lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Saladin at a distance.
Saladin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pacquiao shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Saladin eats them both and turns towards Pacquiao to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Saladin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Pacquiao counters with a left and a right that stings Saladin.
Saladin misses with a left hand
letting Pacquiao counter with a right hand.
Saladin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saladin misses with a body shot.
Saladin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pacquiao counters with a left and a right that stings Saladin.
Saladin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bashir Saladin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saladin lands with a good body shot.
Pacquiao throws a leg kick but Saladin sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Saladin throws a lazy uppercut
and Pacquiao counters with a straight right hand.
Pacquiao throws a head kick but Saladin moves out of range.
Saladin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pacquiao is breathing heavily.
Saladin throws a half hearted mid kick.
Pacquiao will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Saladin misses with a hook.
Saladin scores with a jab. Pacquiao acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Nice uppercut there from Pacquiao.
Pacquiao gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pacquiao walks into a straight right hand from Saladin.
Saladin scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A right-left combo lands from Pacquiao.
Saladin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pacquiao's head.
It looks like Manny Pacquiao has been cut.
Saladin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Saladin throws a right hand that misses
and Pacquiao counters with a straight right hand.
Saladin lands a glancing blow to the side of Pacquiao's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Saladin looks to land a combination but Pacquiao avoids it well.
Saladin lands a head kick!
Pacquiao is rocked!
Saladin connects with a leg kick. Pacquiao looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Saladin connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Pacquiao tumbling to the canvas! Saladin pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Pacquiao was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Bashir Saladin!
