Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Flauterio Toglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Kishigawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toglas kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bodies. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Flauterio Toglas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Kishigawa! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toglas tries for a takedown but Kishigawa circles away easily and Kishigawa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Andrew Kishigawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A bone on bone clash there as Toglas blocks the leg kick.
Toglas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kishigawa shoots and misses and Toglas counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Toglas shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kishigawa is trying to defend but Toglas finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kishigawa manages to get to full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Flauterio Toglas wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Kishigawa is looking to chop away at Toglas's legs. Kishigawa stuffs the takedown attempt from Toglas. Toglas gets slowly back to his feet. Toglas misses with a takedown attempt - Kishigawa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Flauterio Toglas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kishigawa. You can see the frustration on Toglas's face as Kishigawa controls the position. Kishigawa decides to stand back up. Kishigawa steps back and let's Toglas get back to his feet. Kishigawa connects with a solid leg kick. Toglas is breathing heavily. Kishigawa doesn't manage to clinch there - Toglas circles away.

Kishigawa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kishigawa is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Toglas can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kishigawa tries to control but Toglas wriggling away. Kishigawa content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kishigawa stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Toglas checks the leg kick. Kishigawa with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kishigawa throws a hook to the side of Toglas's head but Toglas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kishigawa throws a leg kick and Toglas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kishigawa won't be happy with that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kishigawa regains half guard. Kishigawa gets full guard. Toglas stopping the sweep attempt from Kishigawa. Kishigawa manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's five minutes gone in the round. Kishigawa get's back to his feet. Kishigawa misses the shot to the body. Toglas moves out of range of the leg kick from Kishigawa. Kishigawa fails in his attempt to clinch. Kishigawa attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Kishigawa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Toglas swats him away and circles back towards the center. Toglas lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kishigawa gets the takedown into side control. Kishigawa works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Kishigawa tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kishigawa controlling from side mount.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Toglas is trying to improve his position. Kishigawa passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Toglas! Kishigawa get's back to his feet. Kishigawa throws a leg kick and Toglas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kishigawa shoots and misses and Toglas counters with a left and a right that stings Kishigawa. Kishigawa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Toglas stops Kishigawa from passing to mount. Toglas is looking to reverse the position.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Kishigawa is trying to get an arm triangle but Toglas is defending well. Toglas regains half guard. Kishigawa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Toglas is just riding it out for now. Kishigawa eventually gives up the hold. Kishigawa trying to control the action but Toglas is working from the bottom. Kishigawa not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kishigawa sitting and controlling from the half guard. Kishigawa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Toglas keeps working.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Toglas looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Toglas is staying active underneath Kishigawa, who seems content to just control the action from this position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Kishigawa stands up and beckons Toglas to join him on the feet. Toglas throws a sloppy head kick and Kishigawa moves out of range easily. Kishigawa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Toglas takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Toglas has his takedown stuffed and Kishigawa counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Kishigawa moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Kishigawa throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Kishigawa misses with a wild body shot. Kishigawa throws a leg kick but Toglas sees it coming and moves out of range. Kishigawa gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Toglas trying to land knees to the body.

Kishigawa wants to sweep here but Toglas controlling him for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kishigawa keeping moving, preventing Toglas from controlling successfully. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Kishigawa working a defensive guard but Toglas passes into half guard.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kishigawa misses with a takedown attempt and Toglas counters with a three punch combo that has Kishigawa backing up. Kishigawa nods at Toglas to acknowledge the strikes. Toglas looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Toglas slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kishigawa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Toglas wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Toglas is looking to take a break and control but Kishigawa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kishigawa is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Toglas is looking for a kimura but Kishigawa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Toglas to get the leverage.

Kishigawa is pressing down on Toglas's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Toglas is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kishigawa looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kishigawa is looking for a triangle here but Toglas uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Kishigawa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Toglas is working away from the top position though. Kishigawa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kishigawa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Toglas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Toglas's back! Toglas wants to control his opponent's hands but Kishigawa gets his hands free. Toglas tries to escape but Kishigawa has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kishigawa not allowing Toglas to control his hands. Toglas is trying to get back to his feet but Kishigawa has full control of the position and if anything, Toglas has just worked his way into a worse spot. Kishigawa avoiding Toglas 's attempts to control his hands. Toglas tries to break free.
Toglas is working hard here to advance position. Kishigawa is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Toglas is trapped and Kishigawa is scoring with shots to the head and body. Kishigawa is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Toglas won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Kishigawa off his unconscious opponent!
