Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Akira Ishikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ishikawa comes to the cage accompanied by mindshift genki sudo. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Akira Ishikawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bo Banks! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That kick from Banks tenderised Ishikawa's leg. Ishikawa is trying to keep his angry face on. Bo Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A kick lands to the mid section there for Banks. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Banks.
Ishikawa fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Banks misses with a head kick.
Banks throws a leg kick which misses Ishikawa's front leg but catches the back leg as Ishikawa tries to avoid it. A looping hook to the body misses from Banks. Ishikawa does a little dance to reset his feet. Ishikawa throws a head kick that misses and Banks counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Banks throws a leg kick and Ishikawa counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ishikawa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Banks keeps working. Banks is trying to get back to his feet. Banks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ishikawa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Banks defending against the ground and pound. Ishikawa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Banks has escaped the position, nice work there. Banks is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Banks can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ishikawa in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Banks is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Akira Ishikawa!
