Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Pray" . Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Brian Dillon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Smith! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dillon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dillon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dillon has a closed guard, preventing Smith from standing up. Dillon can't keep his opponent in guard - Smith advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Smith wants to take a breather but Dillon is having none of it. Dillon tries to roll over but Smith keeps him under control. Smith is trying to control the action in half guard but Dillon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith is controlling the pace.
Smith thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Smith is pressing down on Dillon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dillon is holding on for now. Smith is keen to just control but Dillon is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Smith prevents Dillon from standing back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Smith scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dillon is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Dillon circles away and we're back to standing. A head kick lands from Dillon that sends Smith to the canvas. Smith tries to scramble back to his feet but Dillon brings him back down into side control.
Smith is rocked! Smith manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Smith is still in real trouble! Can Dillon finish him? Smith is controlling Dillon's trapped leg to prevent Dillon from advancing to side control. Smith seems to have recovered his senses. Dillon content to control rather than advance. Dillon prevents Smith from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith controlling the position for now. Dillon stops Smith from getting back to his feet.
Smith looks gassed! Dillon wants to control but Smith is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dillon not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A combination from Smith does no damage. Smith shoots in and bounces Dillon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dillon tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dillon wants to improve his position but instead Smith has moved into half guard.
Smith thows a huge punch but Dillon dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Smith dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dillon fails in his attempt to clinch. Smith misses with a double jab.
Dillon doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dillon tries to clinch but Smith moves out of range. Smith takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Dillon wants to clinch. Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dillon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dillon throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily. Smith swings for the body but Dillon moves out of range.
Smith clinches. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Knees in the clinch landing for Dillon.
Smith wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dillon has him pressed against the cage. Dillon unloads a knee to the mid-section. Smith lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Dillon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Smith on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Smith lands a nice shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith is trying to break free. Smith stalling.
Dillon throws a knee to the head but misses.

Dillon tries to land knees in the clinch but Smith avoids the damage to the body. Dillon throws a knee to the head but misses.
Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dillon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dillon wants to clinch but Smith slips to the side and Smith counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Dillon gets a trip takedown into half guard. Dillon wants to get back to his feet.
Dillon is trying to control the action in half guard but Smith is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dillon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Smith. Smith wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Smith manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Smith lands a big shot there that rocks Dillon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Smith tries to control but Dillon wriggling away. Dillon holds on for dear life, controlling Smith's posture momentarily. Smith is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Smith extends the arm and Dillon is forced to tap!
