The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craig shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Rocket counters with a nice double leg into side control. Craig won't be happy with that.

Rocket wants to lay and pray for a moment but Craig keeps working.
Rocket is working Craig over with some ground and pound from side control.

Rocket in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Rocket really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Craig. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rocket decides to stand up, so the ref orders Craig to his feet.
Rocket feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rocket must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Craig pushes Rocket off and gets back to his feet.

and Rocket counters with a big head kick but Craig shrugs it off.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Craig has one foot on Rocket's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Craig throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricky Rocket dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Craig seems to have got his legs back now.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Craig! Rocket is out on his feet! Craig rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rocket is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rocket is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
