Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hector Jimenez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carmine Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Red Hot Chili Peppers- Can't Stop. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hector Jimenez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carmine Rose! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jimenez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rose trying to control here.
Rose might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jimenez kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Rose wants to improve his position but Jimenez is controlling well.
Jimenez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jimenez wants to take a breather but Rose is having none of it. Jimenez sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rose keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rose pushes Jimenez up against the cage in a clinch. Rose escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jimenez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rose pinned against the cage. Rose gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rose closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Rose gets underhooks to prevent Jimenez's takedown attempt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector Jimenez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rose looking for a takedown. Rose is trying to break free. Rose breaks from the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rose stuffs the takedown attempt from Jimenez. Jimenez gets slowly back to his feet. Rose closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Rose breaks from the clinch.
Rose takes the fight into the clinch. Rose lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jimenez backwards. Jimenez tries for a takedown. No joy.

Rose looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rose is looking to take a break and control but Jimenez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rose seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Rose moves into full mount! Jimenez won't be happy about that!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rose looking to finish Jimenez with some ground and pound. This is bad for Jimenez! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jimenez is working to get back to half guard.
Rose has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jimenez's face.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jimenez regains half guard. Jimenez actively working from the bottom here. Jimenez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jimenez won't allow Rose to pass to mount. Jimenez is positioning himself well to prevent Rose advancing to mount. Jimenez is trying to control but can't.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jimenez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rose looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Rose is looking to reverse the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carmine Rose dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rose shoots for a double leg takedown but Jimenez sprawls well. He's pushed Rose's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jimenez misses with a takedown attempt and Rose decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jimenez's guard. Rose thows a big elbow that misses. Rose is pushing down on Jimenez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jimenez is fighting to maintain full guard but Rose has managed to sneak the leg through. Rose is nestled in close to Jimenez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Rose looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rose works his way into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rose is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Rose throws an elbow but Jimenez slips to the side and avoids it well. Rose stands up and beckons Jimenez to his feet. Rose shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Rose works over Jimenez with some ground and pound from guard. Roseis looking to pass into half guard but Jimenez pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jimenez is in guard. Carmine Rose has got the better of the ground game so far. Jimenez advances to half guard. Jimenez is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Rose as he works his way to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jimenez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rose has escaped the position, nice work there. Rose is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jimenez off and has taken his back! Rose tries to keep control of the position but Jimenez is staying busy. Rose landing with strikes. Rose wants to control but Jimenez is keeping busy. Jimenez is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rose throwing sloppy strikes. Jimenez turns into Rose and is now in his guard.
Rose is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jimenez sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rose looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Jimenez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rose counters with a series of strikes. Jimenez will be more careful next time no doubt. Jimenez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rose to the mat! Rose manages to get full guard. Rose throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Rose trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Jimenez trying to control the position from guard on top but Rose is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jimenez stopping the sweep attempt from Rose. Jimenez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rose looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rose looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rose! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jimenez tries to improve position but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carmine Rose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Hector Jimenez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A nice combination there by Rose.
Jimenez is rocked! Rose connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Jimenez tumbling to the canvas! Rose pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Jimenez was done - good stoppage!
