The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Stone there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Sammy Stone has been cut.

Stone throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rico counters with a stiff right hand.
No joy there for Stone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rico steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stone.
Rico misses with a two punch combination.
Rico ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stone throws a hook but Rico blocks it.
Stone misses with a wild combination.
Stone misses with a body shot.
Rico ducks under a wild hook from Stone.
Sammy Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stone lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Rod Rico has been cut.

Rico buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Stone is breathing heavily.
Rico scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stone is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Rico just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! And now a right hook, right on the button! Stone has gone limp, and this one is over!
