Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Reinegger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel has chosen All Summer Long as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tom Reinegger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thiago Steel! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reinegger fails with a takedown attempt. Steel misses with a takedown and Reinegger decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Steel's guard. Steel throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Reinegger escapes and throws Steel's legs to the side, diving into side control! Steel is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Reinegger's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Reinegger not doing much here.
Reinegger has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Steel is looking to get to half guard. Steel bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's one minute gone in the round. Reinegger bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Steel's guard. Reinegger seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Steel keeping moving, preventing Reinegger from controlling successfully. Reinegger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steel swivels though and keeps the full guard. Reinegger controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Reinegger wants to pass the guard but Steel is keeping the position. Steel trying to keep a closed guard but Reinegger is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Steel looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Steel keeping moving, preventing Reinegger from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Reinegger fails with the takedown and Steel counters with a single leg into guard. Reinegger didn't expect that. Steel postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steel trying to control the position from guard on top but Reinegger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Steel gets to his feet - Reinegger follows without any prompting. Steel looks gassed! Reinegger has his takedown stuffed and Steel counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Reinegger! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Reinegger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steel prevents Reinegger from getting the reversal. Steel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reinegger is looking to escape. Reinegger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Steel goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Reinegger is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reinegger tries to free his leg and advance position but Steel is retaining full guard. Steel had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Reinegger is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Steel Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Reinegger's back instead. Steel doesn't have the hooks in and Reinegger manages to turn into his guard.
Reinegger pushing down on Steel's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Steel wants to get back to full guard but Reinegger has passed into side control. Reinegger fails to take his opponent's back. Steel is looking to improve his position but Reinegger isn't that keen on the idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steel looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reinegger tightening his grip on Steel, looking for the choke. Steel breaks Reinegger's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Steel trying to control but Reinegger is working from the bottom. Reinegger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Steel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Steel with a poor takedown and Reinegger decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Steel's guard. Reinegger controlling from the top position. Steel is looking for a triangle here but Reinegger uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Tom Reinegger dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Reinegger drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Reinegger drops back, looking for a kneebar! Steel looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Steel looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Steel! Reinegger struggling a bit here. Reinegger manages to get back to half guard. Reinegger trying to hold on to Steel's head to control him but Steel postures up.
Tom Reinegger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Reinegger is controlling Steel's position as best he can from this difficult position. Steel passes the guard and advances to mount! Steel is breathing heavily.

Reinegger is trying desperately to improve position. Steel trying to control but he's not successful this time. Steel punishing his opponent with strikes. Reinegger is looking to improve his position but Steel isn't that keen on the idea. Steel punishing his opponent with strikes. Steel moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Reinegger has worked his arm free - good work by Reinegger!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Reinegger regains half guard. Reinegger tries to get to full guard but Steel has control of the leg. Steel is looking to stall here but Reinegger recovers full guard. Reinegger is trying to keep Steel in close.

Steel thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Reinegger's head. Steel tries to stand and escape but Reinegger is controlling the position. Reinegger is trying to get back to full guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Steel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Reinegger defends it well. Reinegger actively working from the bottom here. Steel not doing much here.

Thiago Steel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Reinegger bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Reinegger in side control, just content to control the action for now. Reinegger is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Steel knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Reinegger thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Steel manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Reinegger wants to improve his position but Steel is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Reinegger tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Reinegger is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Steel pulls his head out easily. Steel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Reinegger defends it well. Reinegger manages to get to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Reinegger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Steel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Reinegger working for a triangle but Steel defends it easily.
Steel gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Steel looks to clinch and Reinegger counters with a single leg into guard. Steel didn't expect that. Reinegger works a leg free and moves into half guard. Reinegger seems to be working for a kimura but Steel defends the submission attempt. Reinegger wants to take a breather but Steel is having none of it. Steel is trying to get back to full guard.

Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Reinegger is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Reinegger is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Steel.
