Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Seffar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seffar comes to the cage accompanied by Duke Arrives. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juan Seffar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Martin Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seffar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sanchez pinned against the cage. Sanchez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Seffar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sanchez napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sanchez is trying to control Seffar's posture but Seffar avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Seffar goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sanchez rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Seffar's guard! Nice work there by Sanchez!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Seffar jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sanchez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sanchez and Seffar has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Seffar is looking for a kimura but Sanchez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Seffar to get the leverage.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Juan Seffar.
Well Seffar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
