The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Gericho is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gericho throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bong. Gericho does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gericho's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bong under the eye.
Gericho looks to land a combination but Bong avoids it well.

Bong bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bong trying to control the position but Gericho is working away.

Gericho is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Gericho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bong content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Bong tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gericho tries to bench press Bong off him but Bong keeps the position.

Bong is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gericho is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
