Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jim Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Gonzaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzaga blocks a leg kick.
Brown keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Brown counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Brown moves into the clinch successfully.
Gonzaga wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brown has him pressed against the cage.

Brown has picked Gonzaga up - he's going for a ride! Brown dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Gonzaga manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gonzaga wants to control but Brown is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jim Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown is trying to control. Gonzaga wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Brown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gonzaga on the ground.
Brown is stalling here. Gonzaga is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Brown seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gonzaga has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Gonzaga is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brown is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Gonzaga has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Brown!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gonzaga goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Brown turns into him and now he's in Gonzaga's guard.
Brown stays in close to Gonzaga's body and controls the position.

A close second round but Gregory Gonzaga will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Brown is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Gonzaga is looking to sinch up a triangle. Brown throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gonzaga's body to avoid the submission. Gonzaga has instead reached around Brown's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gonzaga arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
