The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Peterson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Partner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Peterson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Partner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Peterson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Partner uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Peterson.

Peterson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Partner tries to close the distance and clinch but Peterson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Partner tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Peterson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Peterson misses with a two punch combination.
Partner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Peterson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Peterson lands with a straight right. Partner didn't see that one coming.

Partner tries to clinch up but Peterson circles away and keeps his distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Peterson counters with a huge left! Partner is in big trouble! He's backing up but Peterson isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Partner from any more damage. A dominating finish by Peterson!
