The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Haulani paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Liddell jumps into guard, dragging Haulani to the mat.
Liddell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Haulani's guard.
Haulani is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chuck Liddell wasn't active enough on the ground.

Alamimo Haulani is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Liddell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Haulani sprawls well. Haulani wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Liddell gets slowly back to his feet.
Haulani jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Liddell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Haulani manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Haulani throws a body punch but Liddell moves out of range.

Liddell shoots for a takedown but Haulani saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Haulani looks to land a combination. Liddell sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Haulani lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Liddell is rocked!
BOOM! Haulani lands a beautiful left hook that drops Liddell. Liddell tries to recover but Haulani is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Liddell lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
