The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shmoe blocks a low kick nicely.
Hendriks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shmoe swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hendriks fails in his attempt to clinch.

Hendriks gets caught flat footed, as Shmoe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Shmoe is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Shmoe's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Shmoe wants to control from the top but Hendriks keeps moving.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Shmoe wants to hold on but Hendriks pushes him away.

Shmoe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hendriks sprawls well initially but Shmoe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hendriks on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Shmoe is looking to advance position but Hendriks won't allow it.

Shmoe is stalling here. Hendriks is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Shmoe seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hendriks has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shmoe is pushing Hendriks's head away, looking to escape. Hendriks manages to hold on to the position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Shmoe is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hendriks asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Hendriks throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Shmoe shoots in looking for a takedown. Hendriks tries to sprawl out of it but Shmoe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hendriks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hendriks tries to clinch but Shmoe is having none of it.

Hendriks connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Shmoe to the floor! Hendriks dives in looking for the finish!
It looks like Hendriks is going to stand back up.
Shmoe is trying to stand back up but Hendriks is controlling him

Hendriks stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Shmoe to get to his feet.
Shmoe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fighters circle, before Hendriks throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Shmoe's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Hendriks lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
