Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hannu Hantta!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herberg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hantta plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Herberg tries for a takedown but Hantta circles away easily
and Hantta counters with an inside leg kick.
Hantta is looking to slow Herberg down with leg kicks.
Hantta fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Herberg gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hantta counters with a nice leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johan Herberg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hantta tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Herberg is able to avoid easily.
Hantta lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Herberg shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hantta napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hantta takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Hantta pushes Herberg away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Herberg gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Herberg thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hantta wants to get back to his feet but Herberg drags him back down.

Hantta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Herberg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Herberg throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Herberg tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Herberg wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hantta, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hantta is pushing Herberg's head away, looking to escape. Herberg manages to hold on to the position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Herberg throws a strike aimed at the side of Hantta's head but Hantta avoids it well.
Herberg prevents Hantta from escaping the position.
Herberg wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hantta, who protects the arm well.
Sloppy strikes there by Herberg.
Herberg creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hantta sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Hantta is not content to let Herberg control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hantta can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hantta is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Herberg asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Herberg misses with the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hantta wants to get back to his feet.
Herberg is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hantta has escaped the position, nice work there.

Hantta takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Herberg goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hantta is on top in guard.

Herberg wants to sweep here but Hantta controlling him for the moment.
Hantta wants to get up but he can't break Herberg's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hantta misses with a head kick.
Hantta swings away with a body shot that misses
and Herberg counters with a single leg into guard. Hantta didn't expect that.
Herberg loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hantta wants to stand up but Herberg is controlling him.
Herberg thows a big elbow that misses.
Herberg connects with a couple of short punches.
Herberg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Herberg stops Hantta from standing up.

Hantta pushes Herberg off looking to stand but Herberg dives back in and keeps control.

Herberg wants to take a breather but Hantta is having none of it.

Hantta has hold of Herberg's hands but Herberg slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
