Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tom Araya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georeg Spartica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Araya's entrance music is Angel of Death. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spartica forces Araya back against the cage and clinches.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Spartica.
Spartica swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Spartica misses with a punch on the inside.

Spartica stops a takedown attempt from Araya.

Still in the clinch, Spartica scores with a nice short uppercut.
Araya drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Spartica gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Araya jumps guard and drags Spartica to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Spartica tries to stand but Araya is controlling from the bottom.

Spartica has a couple of punches blocked by Araya.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Araya uses the cage to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Spartica swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Araya counter with a right hand.
Spartica feints a jab promting Araya to slip. Spartica then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Araya slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Araya shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Spartica is trying to defend but Araya finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Araya is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Spartica is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Georeg Spartica seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spartica doesn't manage to clinch there - Araya circles away.
Araya misses with a body kick.
Tom Araya is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Araya really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Spartica stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Spartica wants it to stay on the feet.
Spartica tries to clinch but Araya moves away
and Araya counters with a head kick. That will keep Spartica thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Spartica tries to close the distance and clinch up but Araya swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Araya counters with a takedown into side control.
Spartica is trying to get back to his feet.
Spartica is breathing heavily.
Araya with the ground and pound but Spartica regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Spartica is looking to escape.
Araya not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Spartica keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Araya wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spartica keeps working.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Araya in particular looking to stall.
Araya is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Araya thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Spartica's head.
Araya wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spartica keeps working.
Araya looking for a submission but Spartica manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Araya advances position into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Araya counters with a nice double leg into side control. Spartica won't be happy with that.

Araya is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Spartica looks calm but he's in trouble here. Araya gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Spartica is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Araya lets go of the hold and Spartica can pop his arm back in it's socket.
