Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
carboza fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
carboza shoots in for a takedown but Palomo shows good takedown defense.
carboza's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and carboza duly obliges.

Palomo tries to clinch there but carboza circles away.
Palomo avoids the head kick by carboza.
Palomo gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Palomo drops down looking for an ankle pick but carboza pulls his leg out and moves away.

Palomo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with carboza but carboza pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A head kick from carboza lands but Palomo takes it in his stride.

carboza tries to score a power double leg takedown but Palomo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten carboza somewhat.
Alvaro Palomo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of luis carboza.
Palomo closes the distance and clinches up with carboza, looking for a takedown. Palomo pushes carboza against the cage but carboza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
