Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fred Friemelaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milo Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Friemelaar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Milo Phillips! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phillips fails to land the takedown. Friemelaar finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Friemelaar wants to clinch up but Phillips keeps it at a distance. Phillips checks a low kick from Friemelaar. Friemelaar dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Phillips. That did some damage! Friemelaar avoids a kick to the body.
Friemelaar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Phillips pinned against the cage. Phillips gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Friemelaar takes the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phillips changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Friemelaar fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Phillips keeps the fight on the outside. Phillips throws a leg kick and Friemelaar counters with a thumping low kick. Phillips misses with a takedown and Friemelaar counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Phillips! Fred Friemelaar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milo Phillips. Friemelaar is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Phillips is in real trouble.

Phillips stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Friemelaar swivels though and keeps the full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Phillips throws the kick towards the body but Friemelaar avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Phillips throws a lazy body kick and Friemelaar counters with a big head kick but Phillips shrugs it off. Phillips with a lazy takedown attempt and Friemelaar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Phillips lands a takedown into guard.
Phillips is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Friemelaar has control of Phillips's left arm, preventing Phillips from doing any damage. Phillips is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Phillips looks gassed! Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Friemelaar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Friemelaar chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Phillips shoots and misses and Friemelaar counters with a head kick. That will keep Phillips thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Phillips tries for a takedown but Friemelaar circles away easily and Friemelaar counters with a nice double leg into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Friemelaar dominated that round. That's time! Friemelaar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Friemelaar throws a nice outside leg kick. Phillips shoots and misses and Friemelaar counters with a nice low kick that buckles Phillips's knee momentarily. Phillips throws a right hand that misses
and Friemelaar counters with a takedown into side control. Friemelaar stands up and we're back to a striking position. Friemelaar looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Friemelaar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Phillips keeps working. Phillips tries to roll over but Friemelaar keeps him under control. Friemelaar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Phillips on the ground. Friemelaar tries to pass to full mount but Phillips defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phillips is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Friemelaar pulls his head out easily. Phillips is breathing heavily. Phillips wants to get back to full guard. Friemelaar blocks the strikes from Phillips.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Phillips fails with the takedown and Friemelaar counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Friemelaar scores with a kick to the body.
Phillips sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Phillips gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Friemelaar counters by clinching up. Fred Friemelaar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milo Phillips. Friemelaar wants a takedown.

Friemelaar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phillips swivels though and keeps the full guard. Friemelaar trying to control but Phillips is working from the bottom. Friemelaar wants to pass the guard but Phillips is keeping the position. Phillips looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Friemelaar throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Phillips. Phillips doesn't succeed with the takedown and Friemelaar counters with a single leg into guard. Phillips didn't expect that. Phillips utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Phillips looking to hit a scissor sweep but Friemelaar is one step ahead there. Friemelaar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Phillips working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Friemelaar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Friemelaar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Friemelaar wants to control from the top but Phillips keeps moving. Friemelaar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Phillips looking for a guillotine here but Friemelaar defends easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Friemelaar wants to pass the guard but Phillips is keeping the position. Phillips is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Friemelaar frees his head nicely. Oh but Phillips has switched to an armbar! Friemelaar is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
